BSL, Business School Lausanne

BSL was founded in 1987 by John Hobbs, a university professor who felt business education was missing valuable practical learning. He built BSL as a small international business school in Lausanne, Switzerland certified by the ACBSP in 1996 and in 1997 it was integrated into the Lemania Group of Private Schools. Thanks to a partnership with ESM Ecole de Management et de Communication in Geneva, the Executive MBA program is also available in French.
In line with BSL’s focus on practical and pragmatic learning, the multidisciplinary faculty is formed by experienced business professionals. The faculty consists of 35 members from 15 different nationalities. Today the school is dedicated to offering its students a sound and innovative business education that will prepare them for successful careers in management in a global business environment. Learning is an interactive experience and participants and faculty are professional partners in learning and innovation. For this reason, BSL selects experienced candidates for the MBA (average age of 32) and the EMBA (average age of 37) to enrich the learning exchange. For all programs, BSL selects a broad international group of participants with over 40 nationalities represented to enhance the cultural learning experience. Small class sizes with a balanced cultural mix contribute to the interactive and participative educational environment.
